I see this particular holiday as a time of mourning... No other occasion demands the specific sacrifice of one particular species of animal to represent "tradition". And when one considers the brutalization... the fear and painful slaughter of these beautiful birds... it's clear that this "holiday" is hardly a "celebration" at all. The tortured carcasses placed as a centerpiece on a table meant to represent "happiness" and thankfulness... Well, it's all quite absurd - really...

I am equally upset when I see those who so vociferously disagree with dolphin hunting, for example, while, at the same time, they own leather hand bags or silk shirts.
Yes Alex... like most people who will swear they "love animals" - Ask them what they eat... and well then - it all falls apart...
