Oh how articulate we are! Did I get your dander up or something?
But I do believe the "blood and guts" comes from the slaughterhouses that NON VEGANS support... Actually - they live on the stuff - Sort of like zombies and vampires! Or maybe more like vultures because they actually feed on carrion... Not on living beings. That is actually what your food is made of isn't it Anonymous? Murdered beings and dead carcasses? Boo!
i truthfully enjoy your own writing style, very interesting. don't give up as well as keep penning mainly because it simply truly worth to look through it. excited to see additional of your writing, goodbye!
Yes, Anonymous #1 - I realize you belong to a non thinking mob. The "group-think" mentality that says "might makes right". You've already established that - SO WHAT?
I can point to any number of movers, shakers, doers, explorers, inventors and other "pioneers" - who went against the established "norm". In your mindset we'd all still be struggling to discover fire for fear of going against the rut of ignorance and complacency.
Anonymous #2 - Thanks... And rest assured I will not be silenced about the truth! ;)
Ah... But this "silly vegan" has managed to consume you! I've apparently really gotten under your skin --- I've called you a liar, belittled you, named you as a fraud and an crude bully - Yet you still come back for more.
Remember the way I blocked you from my email? I think this discourse is rapidly reaching that point on this blog as well.
You've consumed entirely too much of my precious time - Which I would much rather spend communicating to people who actually have the capacity for some amount of critical thought.
I have a new anti-trolling policy --- So unless you have some valid, valuable and rational input to the conversation consider our discussions closed.
Frank Mitloehner, associate professor and air quality specialist at the University of California-Davis, argues that the statements in the “Livestock’s Long Shadow” report are inaccurate. Mitloehner and other leading authorities agree that in the U.S., raising cattle and pigs for food accounts for about 3 percent of all greenhouse-gas emissions, while transportation creates an estimated 26 percent.
Please... let's not forget to mention that this "specialist" is with the "Animal Science Dept" at UC Davis... I'd say that might make him a bit bias - wouldn't you? "He who eats my bread does my bidding".
Secondly... Even IF this were true - I don't know of anyone that can reduce their driving any less than what they already do... I drive less than 10 miles a week - To a grocery store... What about YOU??? And if few people and businesses can reduce their greenhouse gases via reduced transportation --- We're still left with reducing (by 3%) to a plant based diet. Simple enough.
And lastly - This questionable piece of "new information" which was by the way, released unnoticed in Dec.09 - Still doesn't address human health issues OR most importantly... Ethics.
Now --- Did you think you were contributing something to the conversation? Not hardly.
As patient as I am, I find that as the conversations continue I'm dragged ever lower in my standards of "reasonable discourse"... In other words - I'm having a hard time stooping to your cronic juvenile (and hostile) remarks.
If you want another one of your comments to remain "un-trashed" by me - Better make it be brilliant!
the unhealthy slobs in this video didn't get that way from eating steak... they got that way from being lazy morons and subsisting on nothing but mcdonalds. there are other forms of meat in this world aside from the industrialized garbage many Americans live off of. understanding the "ethical" raising of animals is to understand the animal and the agro-ecology of your farm(not factory farm). how does the animal live? how does your farm live? what does your animal need? what does your farm need? it is a small scale, educated, fulfilling, and self-empowering practice. it is not a CONTROL over nature. it is UNDERSTANDING nature and working with it. it is understanding limits. to suggest that raising and eating animals is a fault is an uneducated remark. i respect vegans and their beliefs, but this is a very alarmist video with a very condescending message and attitude.
I understand that anyone can eat an unhealthy diet whether eatin animals or not... But odds are - Since 95% or better of all the animals people ARE eating comes from industrial farms - We can safely assume they did become lard asses from the SAD diet...
That said, I disagree totally that there is any "ethical" way to steal the life of a sentient being. We've gone through this dozens of times as you've trolled on for weeks now.
How's this for a final goodbye kiss? I DON'T respect people who kill and eat animals. (This means YOU!) I DON'T believe slaughter and butchery is "necessary" AT ALL! I DO believe a plant based diet is healthier and better for my Earth. I DO believe that nonhumans value their lives as much as man does. And finally, I DO believe that respecting the rights of those who possess life is not only the compassionate thing to do but THE ONLY ethical course as well.
Now please - Keep your "self-empowered", knife wielding drivel removed from my blog. Thank you.
