Yes there are some twisted ideas out there concerning the *danger* of farmed animals. I've heard more than a few times about them: "If we don't eat them... They'd eat us". I laugh - Then mourn for such an intellectually *slow* species as mine! :(

"For nothing" except economic gain and momentary pleasure - Certainly the value of life must trump these "gains". If not, we dare not call ourselves "enlightened". And at the very least - we should not consider ourselves "kind".It's Death For No Reason... You know the song! :/
