Earth Mother's Love - Across the Species Divide

I stumbled on these videos by the artist Louise du Toit and found her songs worthy of sharing - Especially in recognition of Mother's Day and the nurturing qualities I know my readers embrace.

I think you'll agree the messages that urge us to work for a better world are appropriate especially for a day that values healing kindness and love for our Earth Mother and all her children.

THE TIME HAS COME: "To do no harm, to help rebuild the lives that have been wrecked"

Earth Waltz

As fellow earthlings sharing the same planet, may we always strive to obtain, enhance and nurture each of the following virtues:
Altruism
Benevolence
Compassion
Devotion
Empathy
Freedom
Goodwill
Harmony
Indulgence
Joy
Kindness
Love
Magnanimity
Nonviolence
Order
Peace
Quiet
Respect
Salvation
Tolerance
Unity
Veracity
Worth
Xenial
Yot
Zeal

If you enjoyed these I know you'll find more here that you'll like as well.

Happy Mother's Day to all who repair, renew and restore - Unconditionally.

Happy moms day to you Bea, you epitomize what momming is supposed to be about. Enjoy your day!

Xenial? Yot? Good for you...two words I've never encountered...now I have...thank you. :-)

"Xenial" and "Yot" are new to me, too! I see, Bea, that you found them in Louise's touching song "Just Love."

I found these definitions:

XENIAL: of, relating to, or constituting hospitality or relations between host and guest, especially among the ancient Greeks between persons of different cities.

Aha, the opposite of xenophobia! Yes, of course!

YOT: a verb meaning to unite closely; fasten; rivet (etymology probably from yet or yote -- to meld or weld).

Fascinating!

As for the hauntingly sad but at the same time beautifully uplifting, hopeful songs of Louise Du Toit: WOW!

Thank you for introducing your readers to her work, Bea.

That she includes earth's animals in her vision of freedom, peace, justice, and equality makes her an instant "sister" to us, for sure.

Her message couldn't be more clear, not only visually, but verbally:

Support FREEDOM
Endorse EQUALITY
Promote PEACE
Seek JUSTICE
for all beings on earth

My favorite of her songs is the hymn-like "The Time Has Come," in which she sings: "Beyond the feathers, fur and skin, the heart is beating free."

Louise's angelic voice as she sings those words makes me cry. I will be typing those lyrics and sharing them, with the link to the YouTube video, with many a friend.

Enough said. Time to go out and live the truths Louise -- and Bea -- have shared so unselfishly and eloquently.

Well I'm glad Olivia that this touched just the right "cords" with you! I agree that the messages in her music are touching and motivating!

We may not all be able to sing those songs with such artistry but all of us can live by the truth in the lyrics. Thanks for doing so. <3
