Needle-like object found in MEAT burger -

It was a hollow piece of metal, smaller than an inch. Health officials believe that it was a piece of a veterinary needle that must have got into the food chain at the meat packing plant in Ohio. "They may have vaccinated an animal, and its tip broke off on the animal and it was not removed, and made its way through slaughter and the grinding process," said Larry Ramdin, of the Reading Health Department.
Hmmmm... nothing like munching on "food" that has to be given drugs to stay "healthy" long enough to kill.
So now, we have chickens products with rubber (or foreign material), and ground up cow parts with hypodermic needles. This ought to be a genuine challenge to trace the origin of... being that a single hamburger can contain the "meat" from hundreds of different cows. Maybe some were even the pitiful gimpy dairy cows that HSUS disclosed at the Hallmark Slaughterhouse?
Short of investing in a metal detector to find what's in your "meat surprise" you might want to consider the healthier (and kinder) VEGAN alternative!

One time my step-father found a needle in his post roast, years and years ago. My mom always thought someone intentionally put it there, but now I'm wondering if a similar thing happened...

Yep - no doubt the roast in a prior life was drugged with something or other. I think I mentioned that 70& of all pharmacuticals in the US go to animals - Obviously the animal ag industries haven't heard the campaign against drugs "Just Say NO"... Luckily we can :) Enjoy your holiday...
