I've toned down the bumper stickers a bit (for now).
Anyway, a vegan woman in Colorado applies for a tag to say "ILVTOFU". The DMV rejects her request because it may be "offensive" to some...
Meanwhile there are others of us that are offended by "Beef it's What's for Dinner" tags or stickers like this:
And what about the billboards every quarter mile advertising some dead animal body part... Each alternating which "species" is on the menu?
"Life's short have seconds"... Well it was pretty damn short for the cow wasn't it? After her worn out body was drained of every last bit of life to be profitable - Her body parts wind up on a plate, next to the cheese made from her sister's blood. Now that's vulgar!
Oh yes... hit the highways and there's lots to be offended disgusted by:
I think for a moment we could stand in this woman's shoes... (I know I can). She's living a nice peaceful life... Wishing to harm none in the world, yet can't even say she loves tofu without the flack of disjointed moral standards!
So what pray tell dear folks is really obscene here?

WTF loving tofu is offensive?! I have seen people with tags that said "I 3at pssy" and stuff. How the f*ck is tofu loving offensive?
Wow. Speechless.
Yes, it's absurd. I can't help but think there is a prejudice against the "tofu" part (?). Not unlike my feeling when I once got an undeserved ticket in my little tracker. I believe the officer found the bumber stickers too much truth to deal with. In which case, "free speech" definately had a cost.
*cough*
um, there's another way to parse that license plate that would, in fact, be read as obscene...
I honestly don't think that there's an anti-tofu sentiment at work here. This nice lady just made the honest mistake of missing the "other way" that her license plate could be read, and the DMV folks couldn't, in keeping with their standards, approve her request.
Yes, and my point was that "standards" are often skewed according to ideology. Looking at the world through different values - I find the "legal" ads for cut up body parts to be much more offensive. Don't you?

NO, not so slow... talented, witty, smart & cute (blush). And hey aren't you also a vegetarian as well? :)
