Beef Babies Rank Higher than Dairy Babies - Cowboy Cruelty

Where seldom is heard,
A discouraging word....

Well, this might be one of those times:

Seems that between 8 - 10% of newborn cattle may be left without the nourishment from their mothers. Their mothers may die at birth or have other issues that prevent her from feeding her young... So bottle feeding might be a very good alternative to nourish the little orphan. Or there's this method too:
Give the cow opportunities to accept the calf without restraint. Rubbing or tying the skinned hide (skin over the back along with the tail) of the nurse cow’s dead calf onto the grafted calf can transfer scent and encourage the cow to accept the new calf.
But Please Mr. Cowboy! Say it isn't so!!! How did the "nurse cow's" baby get "dead"?
NO! You didn't!!! You wouldn't!!!! FOR SHAME!!!!
*************************************
Those of us who are familiar with how worthless a male dairy calf is, aren't too surprised at the "class" structure even for farmed animals. Here, for the convenience of not having to feed the calf themselves, they kill a dairy cow's baby, so she can nurse a "beef" cow instead... And they trick her with the bloody hide from her own young.
I don't know about you --- But I think this is what ogres do...
Please, don't support any animal using industries - Go Vegan!

Wait a minute now... I don't have this blog posted 3 minutes and you're already poised to strike? Don't you have a life? Or any other trivial matters to absorb your idle time besides stalking and trolling my blog?

It's meant to "Provoke"... But honestly your mundane twittering is much too juvenile for me to ever consider engaging you in an intellectual spar. Yawn.

The perversions of present day farming and ranching seem to be a bottomless pit. If only these cowboys would use their ingenuity for kindness. One peaceful world for animals everywhere is possible. With each vegan meal a person eats, anyone can voice support for nonviolence at least 3x a day. Stay strong and kind, Bea.

What a great resource!

That is so abhorrent. I can't believe they do that. Just when you think you know everything that they could possibly do to torture animals, they find a new angle.

Hi Little Buffalo... BTW I love your name... I know what you're saying... It's the easiest thing one can do to make a better world --- Yet they fiercely resist doing so. :( I do stay hopeful though... Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Anonymous... "a great resource"... Wish it didn't have to be so! I'd much rather blog tips about quilting or painting --- Another life perhaps. ;)

I know veganprimate... It's disgusting. I've cried over many things that I've learned regarding what's done to nonhumans - Every time I think I've shed my last "new knowledge tear"... It's not long till another comes along. :(
Stay the good fight. We are doing the right thing! Peace.

Bea, it is a shame all your followers believe this bullshit, Why would they kill a dairy calf to feed a beef calf, you are so mixed up. Go to Support Your Dairy Farmers on facebook to learn the real truth instead of all this theatrical nonsense.

Man I think someone should monitor this site all the time so people aren't lied to so much.

Hello Anonymous... You know - It's rare that someone who posts as "Anonymous" so frequently is anything but cowardly and deceitful. But that's okay - you may hide behind your veil of secrecy if you wish...

About the worthlessness of dairy calves --- Come on cowboy! They've been giving away male bulls in my town on Craigs list! The woman who rescues them from the dairy is desperately trying to get $50 to cover their colostrum costs. It's known their puny little bodies are more trouble to haul to the slaughterhouse than what they're worth: On farm disposal of dairy calves: There is a saying; “If you are going to have Livestock, then you’re going to have Deadstock.” The
rendering industry has seen a decrease in the price received for hides, tallow and meat/bone meal. This has related back to the dairy and veal industries with increased
rendering service fees.

You'll see the graph recommends two foot of sawdust.

"Small animals can be placed side by side in layers no more than 8
inches thick with 6 inches of compost mix between and around the layers."
http://www.agnr.umd.edu/ces/pubs/pdf/FS717.pdf

On "humane" treatment of dairy bull calves: "That bull calves have no economic value is beside the point."
http://www.calfnotes.com/pdffiles/CN145.pdf

On site euthanasia of Calves and Bulls:
"Calves can easily be euthanized with a penetrating captive bolt gun."

Bob "veal" is sent to slaughter at 3 days old... Now, you mean to tell me that somehow a "cattle rancher" holds some special "value" to one of these $50dairy bull calves --- So much so that he wouldn't kill and use the hide to fool his mother???

Sorry, she may be unable to see to scenario completely - But it's no puzzle to anyone who can put the facts together. The facts are, when it comes to animals as "commodities" everything is about the "bottom line".

FIRST ALMOST EVERYONE POSTS AS ANONS SECOND YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT WHAT SOME OTHER VEGAN WRITES OR YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT GOES ON ATANY OF THE FARMS AND IF THEY ARE GIVING THEM AWAY ON CRAIGS LIST THEN THEY AREN'T KILLING THEM NOW ARE THEY. GOTHCHA SOME MEN RIDE BULLS

Now, now --- watch the language or you'll give animal users an even worse rep than what they already have.

And my experience has been that it's mostly frustrated trolls who post as "anon"... But, really that matters little.

All the sources I cited are all from animal ag. Straight from the "horse's mouth", so to speak...

The ones on Craigs list are "rescued calves" - A group has an arrangement with a dairy. Apparently they've met a kind soul who finds the practice of baby killing an abomination. And I agree.

As far as you not believing they kill calves? Where on earth do you think they get "veal" from --- Veal trees???

Men ride bulls? Au contraire... They merely are full of *it.
