DELICIOUS ~ NUTRITIOUS ~ VEGAN FOOD ~ Eat 4 Life!!!

On discussing what we "need" to eat... And what is "necessary" to consume... My "food" sustains me well:

A plant based diet IS delicious... IS nutritious. And IS the right choice for even more reasons:
"...Earth is generous, With her provision, and her sustenance, is very kind. She offers, for your table, food that requires no bloodshed and no slaughter." ~Ovid

Michigan governor Granholm — who is not a vegetarian — tried to soothe hurt feelings Wednesday by issuing an additional proclamation declaring Saturday an all-inclusive Agriculture Day in Michigan. She also called the leader of the Michigan Farm Bureau to say she meant no harm to the livestock industry with her earlier proclamation.

Granholm spokeswoman Liz Boyd noted that no matter what day Saturday is deemed to be, many Michigan residents are destined to eat “a lot of chicken wings and burgers” as they watch NCAA basketball tournament games and attend other gatherings, seems she thought she was wrong in what she did and promises to eat a steak on saturday.

Well! Looks like you're doing some free-lance news reporting for me Anon... But please stay on topic. We were discussing food here... Not political maneuvering. Do try to channel your energies into the subject matter... Here we were taking a closer look at all the nutritious and yummy FOOD that is available to us! Let's celebrate the fact that we need not wait another day to live a healthy, joyful life. One which includes no calculated harm to innocent beings! My world is great today - What about you! ;)

yeah my world is great too, thanks for asking and animals are NOT human beings. this does have to do with food, why do you think differently? Here the animal rights people tried to bribe her into saying something she didn't really believe in and I think Michigan is one of the states hurting for money, I wonder how much they paid her to do what she did.

Oh --- I'm sorry... Must have missed it - Where I said "animals ARE human beings"... Can you refresh my memory?

Ahhh... So I see - It was the animal rights people who financially bribed a governor to say something she really didn't believe in; Thereby causing her state further economic crisis.

Well that's a great theory --- Anything to substantiate your claim? Or better yet - Can I counter with one of my own?

It's a top-secret mission within the ALF - They've infiltrated her home and are subliminally sending her messages delivered by talking vegetables and fruits... Now see how this is all relevant to my original post? Isn't life grand when we can make sense of it all!

toodles! ;)

Oh come on now... I thought my little scenario was clever and witty! Don't tell me you're gonna get all fussy about adherence to logic or reason now are you? You'd spoil all the fun of our delightful jaunts through "happy meat land" and "animals want us to use and eat them-ville"...

Party pooper!

OH MCDONALD HAD A FARM AND HE RAISED ANIMALS TO EAT, JUST LIKE THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE. wHAT ELSE ARE THEY GOOD FOR???

Bea Elliott said...

"wHAT ELSE ARE THEY GOOD FOR???" I think we covered this already... A while ago.
Animals exist for their own purpose - They value their lives as much as we value our own.

They are "good" for living the lives they possess --- And those lives should not be stolen for trivial purposes. I believe these videos show that there is more than adequate "food" without destroying sentient life.

Now go back to your conspiracy theories about bribed govenors who are corrupted by vegan "powers". I find them quite amusing in a naive sort of way... Peace!

HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY VALUE THEIR LIFE, MOST ANIMALS DON'T HAVE REASONING SKILLS, THAT IS JUST YOUR OWN PERSONAL OPINION. I KNOW VEGANS ARE SOOOO SENSITIVE.

Bea Elliott said...

How do I know all beings value their lives? Common sense. It's a biological imperative to survive... Even a day old human infant with "zip" in "reasoning" abilities will struggle to save their life if they were being suffocated or drowned or in some other life threatening situation.

No, I would not agree that "vegans are so sensitive"... But rather that they have taken the effort to do the critical thinking it takes to form rational judgements. Still, if vegans, or rather rights advocates were to be considered "sensitive" - I'd say they were sensitive to injustice. And surely this is one of man's highest virtues - And nothing to be shamed by at all.

So instead I ask... Have you NO SHAME in your lack of empathy? compassion? reason? justice? Oh never mind... I forgot you can't even apologize when you're proven wrong! Don't get "too sensitive" now... Coward.

Two papers published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition - one a Meta-analysis concluded that the link between saturated fat consumption and Coronary heart disease and coronary vascular disease doesn't exist. Vegan diets are far more dangerous than red meat consumption. Studies that look at long term cognitive abilities in children fed vegan diets and those with the same diet with supplemental red meat indicate permanently lower cognitive ability in the vegan forced children

You are way off topic again --- Brain cells working a little
s-l-o-w these days?

Intelligent children are more likely to become vegetarians later in life, a study says.
A Southampton University team found those who were vegetarian by 30 had recorded five IQ points more on average at the age of 10.
Researchers said it could explain why people with higher IQ were healthier as a vegetarian diet was linked to lower heart disease and obesity rates.

The study of 8,179 was reported in the British Medical Journal.

They were fed meat with enough protein and vitamins and minerals to increase their intelligence while they were growing before turning vegan, good thing they waited isn't it??

As patient as I am, I find that as the conversations continue I'm dragged ever lower in my standards of "reasonable discourse"... In other words - I'm having a hard time stooping to your cronic juvenile (and hostile) remarks.

If you want another one of your comments to remain "un-trashed" by me - Better make it be brilliant!
