Butter Cow - Bloody Cow - The Irony

For the sake of educating the public about dairy, a cow is annually fashioned out of butter. Just like all milk products, it is made from the cream that should have nourished calves.  All these butter sculptures come at great cost and bitter loss to the cows. But the dairy industry chooses to display these symbolic, trophy-spoils to represent the rich and "delicious" side of their business. It's a "tradition" as valued as the Golden Calf.

This year, there was more than usual trouble and fuss over the golden-butter cow, as it also had to be restored after red "blood" paint was used to make another point about dairy consumption. One that unknowing consumers might be disturbed by. For those who profit from the butter-cow, image is a sacred thing to preserve. They worked into the night to return said cow to a presentable state. There shall be no bloody cows at the fair!

Meanwhile, the irony is... They don't seem to mind the ocean of hidden blood spilled for the making of the golden-butter-cow.

Please reject blood-foods in any form and choose to be the cream that rises above the social norm. Be vegan.

An Unweaned Super Bowl Hero? Milk Malarkey!

The dairy industry has managed to buy some Super Bowl air time. In this commercial starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is seen abandoning all reason in order to got get-milk... Even to the point of dismissing a poor kitty caught up a tree!

But since cow's milk comes at the cost of so many, many baby calves lives... Why in the world should Rock or any other unweaned human care about a cat??? Hum???

And speaking of unweaned humans:

Ha, Ha, Ha!!!
Only YOU can be a super hero to the cows, calves and your own health!
with Silk Power or any of the other wonderful plant based alternatives!

We all know that real men are kind to animals...

And that there's strength in compassion:

Please live in a just, ethical way... Go vegan. ;)

Dairy Too Busy To Feed Malnourished Calves - Mothers Too Busy Getting Milked

Seems that dairy farmers are doing a very bad job tweaking Mother Nature. In even the most "sophisticated" operations, many newborns are found to be malnourished. Oh, and you'll never guess why!   "Inadequate personnel" are "too busy" to insure the job of feeding calves is done correctly:
Calves were almost four times more likely to have inadequate levels if a milker was responsible for collecting colostrum versus other personnel, suggesting that milkers may be too busy to collect quality colostrum. WSU researchers recommended that designated personnel for colostrum harvest and feeding should be considered.
Calves were 2.3 times more likely to not have enough antibodies if colostrum quality was not evaluated versus evaluated by a colostrometer, suggesting that using a colostrometer would help eliminate first feedings of poor quality colostrum.
These dairy folks aren't ever too short of time to steal the babies away, are they?  And I'm quite sure too, that left to her own maternal instincts mother cow, would adore having the experience of nourishing her baby.  I don't believe she would be "too busy"... I'm certain she'd find the time.
Yet, these dairy mothers are deprived of that chance - They are "busy" being milked to provide us unweaned, adult humans with her calves milk.
It's so odd that this industry and it's consumers think somehow that this is "natural."  Or even think that it's kind.

Just recently, I asked a woman if she knew that the calves were immediately separated from their mothers?  And she looked at me with (faked) confusion and asked "Do you really think they care"?

Yeah... I do think they care.  What's more is I CARE!

Please gentle readers... Do not worry yourself with watching this video - You've already seen enough.  Everyone else however --- Please do open your eyes, minds and hearts! Please live compassionately.

I Found Them! Almost a Million Stolen Dairy Calves - Cow's Milk = Murder

Calves Stolen From Another Minnesota Dairy (cow)

With just a slight tweaking one can see the depth of another reality...

"We walked all over the yard for about a hour and a half looking for them, and we couldn't see 'em or track 'em anywhere, so we figured they were probably taken," the new mothers said.

And the theft of these precious baby calves happens about 944,200 times a year... That's about 152 million pounds of infant remains... Many calves upon entering the slaughterhouse will desperately try to suckle the fingers of the hands that lead them to the kill floor.

These male dairy calves are almost worthless to the industry - They cost more to feed than their "value".  Yet they mean everything to the mothers from whom they were stolen from. Please do not participate in this vile treachery.  Choose to be meat and dairy free

Dirty Dairy - Stolen Milk - Calf Slaughter - Ugly Cheese - Go Vegan

Her Heaven
Let her wake to a rough tongue cherishing the length of her; to cloud-warmth of milk and fur, no memory of metal or blood. Two bodies, one dream. Little star-breath drifting through night.
Written by Francine Marie Tolf and is one of the poems in her book Like Saul (©.
But the dairy industry is far from this picturesque scene of mother and child...
It is a nasty, deceitful business which has no respect for the living aside from what money the flesh and stolen secretions will bring. Even "the product" is linked to cancers and other human ills. And the "waste" contaminates rivers and drinking water...
Oh yeah... And often the dairy industry will kill mother and child together. Not quite "poetry". But if you drink milk, eat cheese and consume dairy - You should have the stomach to see what you are supporting:
If this sickens you. If you want a cleaner environment and a healthier body - Please... Go Vegan
